Two orchestras to perform at UMR Oct. 12

The University Symphony Orchestra and the University Chamber Orchestra will host a concert at 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, in Leach Theatre of UMR’s Castleman Hall, 10th and Main streets in Rolla. The performance is free for students and $3 for the general public. Tickets are available at the door and at the Leach Theatre Box Office.

“Once again, these talented musicians are preparing a concert that you won’t want to miss,” says Dr. Donald Miller, conductor of the groups and assistant professor of music at UMR. “This concert will be a special event for both audience members and performers.”

The University Symphony Orchestra will perform “Bacchanale,” by Camille Saint-Saens and “Symphony No. 6,” by Antonín Dvorák.

The Chamber Orchestra will perform “Symphony No. 40” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
