Student representatives from nine design teams at the University of Missouri-Rolla will share information with the public during a dinner to support the teams Thursday, Jan. 19, at the Havener Center on the UMR campus. The event is hosted by the Central Ozarks Section of the MSM-UMR Alumni Association.

A social hour and cash bar begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. in the Carver-Turner Room of the Havener Center. After dinner, tours of the Student Design Center, located near the Havener Center, will be given. 

The following UMR teams will be represented: the Advanced Aero Vehicle Group, the Concrete Canoe Team, the SAE Formula Car Team, the Human-Powered Vehicle Team, the Robotics Team, the Solar Car Team, the Solar House Team, the Steel Bridge Team and the new Mini Baja Team. 

Dr. Rob Stone, director of UMR’s Student Design and Experiential Learning Center, will also discuss programs and student activities that are scheduled for 2006.
