Missouri S&T to dedicate Innovation Lab on April 11
Missouri University of Science and Technology will celebrate the opening of and officially dedicate its 50,000-square-foot Innovation Lab at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 11. New roles announced for Richard Brow, Stephen Roberts
Dr. Richard K. Brow, Curators’ Distinguished Professor of materials science and engineering, has been appointed executive director of operations for the Kummer Institute for Student Success, Research and Economic Development, effective Friday, March 1. Brow succeeds Dr. Stephen Roberts as chief operating officer of the Kummer Institute. Roberts will remain in his role as chief strategy officer through the end of the academic year to lead new initiatives on behalf of the university.

Missouri S&T consortium wins grant to modernize state’s defense manufacturing
Using technology to strengthen the global competitiveness of Missouri manufacturers while supporting the defense industry is one of the primary goals of a three-year project recently awarded $5 million by the U.S. Department of Defense’s Office of Local Defense Community Cooperation. The grant establishes the Missouri Defense Manufacturing Consortium, a partnership of colleges and universities, companies, and manufacturing organizations led by Missouri S&T.
