S&T alumnus Gene Gowins establishes $2.1 million permanent endowment for physics students

Gene Gowins, who studied physics at Missouri S&T in the early 1960s, has established a $2.1 million permanent endowment to help physics students succeed, a gift he says was inspired by both the values he learned growing up during the Great Depression and his passion for physics.

Missouri S&T to honor alumni, faculty and staff during homecoming

Seven Missouri S&T alumni, one current faculty member and one staff member will be honored for their professional achievements and service contributions during the Miner Alumni Association’s Legends Luncheon on Friday, Oct. 3. The awards banquet is held annually in conjunction with Missouri S&T’s Homecoming festivities.
