Dan Bailey begins term as Miner Alumni Association president

Dan Bailey of Fairway, Kansas, who earned a bachelor’s degree in geological engineering in 2003 and a master’s degree in engineering management in 2005, became president of the Miner Alumni Association Oct. 26, during Missouri S&T’s Homecoming festivities on the Rolla campus. Bailey replaces Dr. Chris Ramsay, who served as president for the past two years.

‘Buckle Up, Phone Down:’ Missouri S&T encourages safe driving

Missouri University of Science and Technology is joining the Buckle Up, Phone Down Challenge, MODOT’s effort to encourage Missourians to drive safer. New signs have been installed in parking lots across campus to remind drivers of the two most important things they can do to prevent (or survive) a crash: buckle their seatbelts, and put their phones down.
