Missouri S&T commencement speakers announced

Approximately 700 Missouri S&T students will be awarded degrees during three upcoming commencement ceremonies Friday, Dec. 19, and Saturday, Dec. 20. Dr. Steven Jung, chief commercial officer of Mo-Sci Corporation, will speak at the Dec. 19 ceremony for Ph.D. and master’s degree graduates. Dr. Gregory M. Polites, executive vice dean and interim head of biomedical and translational sciences for the Carle Illinois College of Medicine, will speak at both Dec. 20 ceremonies for bachelor’s degree candidates.

Wall Street Journal ranks S&T among top 10 universities in nation for ‘Best Salaries’

Missouri S&T is ranked eighth in the nation for “Best Salaries,” and second among public universities in that category, according to a new ranking from The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) and College Pulse. This is the second consecutive year S&T has been in the top 10, moving up from No. 9 in last year’s rankings.

S&T earns Purple Heart University status – free football game tickets for veterans

Missouri S&T has been designated as a Purple Heart University, granted in recognition of its commitment to veterans killed or wounded in combat. The designation will be highlighted during halftime of S&T’s Military Appreciation football game on Saturday, Nov. 1.

Keune named communications, outreach and engagement leader for Missouri S&T

First-day enrollment at Missouri S&T tops 7,100

Missouri S&T welcomed 7,142 students on its first day of classes Monday, Aug. 25. Last year’s first-day enrollment at the STEM-focused university was 7,037 students, indicating an increase of 1.5% this year.
