Professor first recipient of national award
Jerry Bayless, associate professor of civil engineering at Missouri University of Science and Technology, is the first recipient of the National Arthur N. L. Chiu Outstanding Faculty Advisor Award from Chi Epsilon, the national civil engineering honor society.   [more]

Missouri S&T student receives 2008 Goldwater Scholarship
Brandi Clark, a junior in chemistry from Westervelt, Ill., was named a 2008 recipient of the Goldwater Scholarship. The scholarship covers the cost of tuition, fees, books and room and board up to a maximum of $7,500. Clark plans to earn a Ph.D. in environmental chemistry and would like to conduct research in environmental chemistry and teach at the university level.   [more]

Dr. John J. Myers, associate professor of civil, architectural and environmental engineering at Missouri University of Science and Technology, has been elected a fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).   [more]
