Missouri S&T School of Extended Learning recognizes teachers

Dr. Henry Wiebe, dean of the School of Extended Learning at Missouri University of Science and Technology, presented Outstanding Teaching Awards to Missouri S&T faculty members involved in distance education during a campus ceremony held May 7.

Awards were presented in two categories, Outstanding Teaching Award of Excellence and Outstanding Teaching Commendation. Faculty members chosen for both categories of the awards received high ratings from their students.

Recipients of the School of Extended Learning 2008 Outstanding Teaching Award of Excellence include:

– Randy Canis, adjunct professor of computer science

– Jeffrey Cawlfield, professor of geological engineering

– Tad Golosinski, professor of mining engineering

– Kenneth Light, lecturer in civil, architectural and environmental engineering

– Ann Miller, Cynthia Tang Missouri Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering

– Kenneth Ragsdell, professor of engineering management

 

Recipients of the School of Extended Learning 2008 Outstanding Teaching Commendation Award include:

 – Craig Adams, John and Susan Mathes Missouri Distinguished Professor of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering

– Abdeldjelil (D.J.) Belarbi, Curators’ Teaching Professor of civil, architectural and environmental engineering

– Narayan Bodapati, adjunct professor of civil, architectural and environmental engineering

– Ronald Carson, adjunct professor of engineering management

– Cihan Dagli, professor of engineering management

– Benjamin Dow, lecturer in engineering management

– Barry Flachsbart, professor of business and information science and technology

– Stanley Grzyb Jr., adjunct associate professor of engineering management

– Paul Hirtz, adjunct assistant professor of engineering management

– William Kehr, instructor in business and information science and technology

– Robert Laney, lecturer in engineering management

– Ray Luechtefeld, assistant professor of engineering management

– Sahra Sedighsarvestani, assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering
