Third film in S&T Hispanic Film Series to screen in March

The Hispanic Film Series offered by the Missouri University of Science and Technology arts, languages, and philosophy department will continue this March with a viewing of the drama “Here and There.” The film, which is free and open to the public, begins at 7 p.m. Friday, March 10, in Room 104 Physics Building on the Missouri S&T campus. The film will be screened in Spanish with English subtitles.

Missouri S&T bands to make sweet music with the 399th Army Band

The 399th Army Band from Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, will join the Missouri University of Science and Technology Symphonic Band and Wind Symphony for a free concert in February. The concert will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, in Leach Theatre of Castleman Hall, located at 10th and Main streets in Rolla.

Missouri S&T students soon will have even more incentive to study abroad in Central and South America. A team of S&T faculty has received a $93,229 grant from the U.S. Department of Education to help fund a new minor in Latin American studies.
