Missouri University of Science and Technology student Katherine Bartels, a senior in environmental engineering from Independence, Missouri, is experiencing this year’s Pacific Northwest summer through an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Greater Research Opportunities (GRO) Fellowship.
