Missouri S&T theater students earn performance awards

Missouri S&T students rehearse ‘Good Kids.’

Missouri University of Science and Technology’s theatrical production of “Good Kids,” which examines attitudes and misconceptions about sexual assault, has earned three awards of excellence from the Kennedy Center. The awards will be presented at the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival-Region 6, which will be held Feb. 23-27 at Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas.

Inner tube water polo

Among the list of intramural sports offered at Missouri S&T, inner tube water polo stands alone. Well, maybe it floats alone. No prior water polo experience is necessary, and besides you’ve probably never played it. Learning to navigate the pool floating atop inner tubes across 12-minute halves is part of the game. Teamwork, creativity and improvisation are key elements to success. The tournament only happens one weekend a year, so come prepared. Or not. It’ll be fun either way.

Doe Run Co. donates mining equipment to Missouri S&T

The Doe Run Co. (Doe Run) recently donated $37,724 in technical equipment to the mining engineering department at Missouri University of Science and Technology to aid in training the next generation of mining engineers. [Read more…]
