S&T and PCRMC to co-host research symposium

microscopeMissouri University of Science and Technology and Phelps County Regional Medical Center (PCRMC) are partnering to present a research symposium this month. The symposium is the inaugural event hosted by the Ozark Biomedical Initiative (OBI), a strategic partnership between PCRMC and S&T.

The symposium will take place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, at Missouri S&T’s Technology Development Center. The goal of the symposium is to increase research collaboration between S&T faculty and clinicians and physicians at PCRMC. [Read more…]

S&T group to raise money for water crisis

The Diversity Leadership Council (DLC) at Missouri University of Science and Technology in association with S&T Student Diversity, Outreach and Women’s Programs will sell Krispy Kreme doughnuts this month to raise money for the drinking water contamination crises in Flint, Michigan.

The fundraiser will take place from Friday, Feb. 12, to Friday, Feb. 26. All orders and money must be received by 4:30 p.m. on the last day of the fundraiser. Boxes of a dozen glazed doughnuts will be sold for $8 per box. Proceeds will go to the Flint Water Fund or the Flint Child Health and Development Fund. [Read more…]
