‘Legendary Count Basie Orchestra’ to perform at Leach Theatre

The Legendary Count Basie Orchestra

Eighty-one years after William “Count” Basie founded his orchestra in Kansas City, Missouri, the group will perform on the Missouri University of Science and Technology campus as part of the 2015-16 Leach Theatre Campus Performing Arts Series.

The Legendary Count Basie Orchestra will perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 5, In Leach Theatre of Castleman Hall, located at the corner of 10th and Main streets in Rolla. [Read more…]

Missouri S&T faculty honored for excellence

Twenty-eight faculty members from Missouri University of Science and Technology were honored for excellence and achievement in research, service and teaching during an awards ceremony held on the Missouri S&T campus on Feb. 22.

Each award winner received a monetary stipend funded by industry and alumni contributions. [Read more…]

Missouri University of Science and Technology’s theatrical production of “Good Kids,” which examines attitudes and misconceptions about sexual assault, has earned three awards of excellence from the Kennedy Center. The awards will be presented at the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival-Region 6, which will be held Feb. 23-27 at Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas.
