Missouri University of Science and Technology recently hosted a competition designed to simulate a mine emergency. University teams competed alongside teams from industry, including Doe Run, Vulcan Materials Co. and the U.S. Department of Energy’s Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP).
Other collegiate teams competing were the Colorado School of Mines and Penn State University. In all, 21 teams competed.Read More »

Pink Floyd fans know what a heartbeat, a ticking clock, a cash register and maniacal laughter have in common—the album “Dark Side of the Moon.” The famous Pink Floyd album will be performed by the touring concert series “Classic Albums Live” on the Missouri University of Science and Technology campus as part of the 2015-16 Campus Performing Arts Series this October.Read More »
