In an effort to help the United States regain its competitive edge in math and science, Missouri University of Science and Technology will offer a new elementary education program to emphasize these subjects, beginning fall 2014. Graduates of the program will be prepared to share their knowledge of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) with kindergarten through 6th grade students. [Read more…]

A new talk radio show covering everything energy related will soon be heard on public radio station KMST at Missouri University of Science and Technology. Everything from the current state of energy usage to innovations in small modular nuclear reactor technology will be discussed.

Curators approve nation’s first Ph.D. in explosives engineering

A pioneering program in explosives engineering at Missouri University of Science and Technology is poised to expand to the doctoral level. The University of Missouri System Board of Curators voted to approve the degree program at its Nov. 21 meeting. The program now must be approved by the Coordinating Board of Higher Education.
