Eleven electrical engineering seniors and recent graduates each received a $5,000 Grainger Power Engineering Award from the electrical engineering department at Missouri University of Science and Technology this spring. The awards are presented as a reward for academic excellence.

An undergraduate student from Missouri University of Science and Technology was certified as a mine safety instructor by the United States Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA). He is one of the first undergraduate students in the U.S. to hold a trainer certification.
